We believe that it is important to build a dependable and confidential relationship with our clients. In order to understand our client’s business activities and/or their trademarks (background, goods/services, usage, future plans), we usually have a face-to-face meeting with them.
For clients in foreign countries, we endeavor to meet them at any available opportunities (international conferences, business trips, etc.). If they have any available time during their business trips in Japan, we invite them to our firm to have a face-to-face meeting. Our firm is located near Yokohama Station, which is only a short distance from Tokyo Station and Haneda Airport.

We provide our clients with accurate, speedy, and high-quality services. Our trademark section is composed of eight members (please see Members) who have experience in a variety of fields. Our attorneys assist in establishing trademark rights, prosecute trademark applications, and advise on the enforcement of these rights. Each and every case is examined by several members of our trademark section to obtain different points of view.
Furthermore, our firm uses a unique and secure database which allows us to synchronize each member's work to eliminate any mistakes and prevent delays.
Depending on the client’s needs, our member who is a Chinese can also help the client to communicate in Chinese.
Suggestion & Solution
Our client's needs change in accordance with the growth of their business. Therefore, we also examine the circumstances of their trademarks. For example, even if we are requested to file an application for a trademark by a client, we advise the client to file another trademark(s) earlier, because the trademark(s) had been used on their website. Alternatively, we advise that the use of the trademark should be stopped and/or changed because its use may constitute infringement of the trademark rights by third parties.
We provide our clients with a trademark portfolio in which all trademarks (registrations and/or applications) obtained by the clients are listed. This will help the clients manage the data on the trademarks, build up a branding strategy, and reduce costs.
